Construction deaths decreased in 2008

IMGXYZ473IMGZYXThe preliminary release of the National Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries in 2008 was released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics on Aug. 20, 2009.

Construction workers still incurred the most fatalities of any industry in the private sector in 2008, even though the numbers decreased by 20 percent, down from 1,204 cases to 969 cases.
