Jennifer Torres

Jennifer Torres is the Vice President of Ideal Contracting’s Construction Group, where she oversees all general contracting projects and leads day-to-day operations with a focus on excellence, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

With more than 26 years of experience in the construction industry, Jen has established herself as a resilient and highly respected leader. Prior to her appointment as Vice President, she served as both Director and Senior Project Manager, successfully delivering complex projects across the automotive, commercial, and industrial sectors. Her meticulous attention to detail, collaborative approach, and unwavering commitment to quality have been instrumental in driving consistent project success and long-term client relationships.

Jen’s passion for construction began during her college years, when she worked with a company involved in the construction of iconic Detroit landmarks such as Ford Field and Comerica Park. That early experience sparked a lasting interest in the industry and ultimately led her to Ideal Contracting, where she joined as a Project Engineer in 2004. Over the years, she has steadily advanced through the organization and now leads Ideal’s general contracting operations while also mentoring and developing the next generation of construction professionals.

Jen holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Wayne State University. She is actively involved in the industry as the Vice President of Detroit’s National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) chapter and is a dedicated volunteer with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jen values family, meaningful experiences, and the perspective they bring to her leadership. She treasures time with her three children, Jordan, Sophia, and Cole, and enjoys opportunities to travel, camp, and exploring new cuisines.
