Todd joined Barton Malow in 2014 as Director of Concrete and Civil Operations where he oversaw the concrete and civil self-perform operations for the construction firm. Notable clients include General Motors, the University of Michigan, Beaumont Health System, and Olympia Development of Michigan (Little Caesars Arena).
In his current role as Director of Labor Management, Todd has leveraged Barton Malow’s labor partnerships to continuously improve the quality and execution of the firm’s self performance project delivery. He also works to maintain strategic and mutually beneficial collective bargaining relationships between Barton Malow and craft labor unions.
Some of Todd’s most notable accomplishments during his time at Barton Malow include negotiating multiple union contracts without incurring any labor disruptions. These unions span across the trades and include Detroit Carpenters, Michigan Carpenters, Michigan Millwrights, Michigan Ironworkers and Rodbusters, Michigan and Detroit Laborers, Michigan Boilermakers, and the Michigan Operating Engineers.
Todd has also assisted in elevating Barton Malow Company, the firm’s union contractor entity, to the top of the International Building Trades Unions’ list of preferred general contractors in the United States. Under Todd’s leadership, Barton Malow Company is now considered an Employer of
Choice for the men and women of the union trades
