Troy Sundbom

Troy has over 30 years of experience in the specialty construction industry working for The Jamar Company, currently serving in the roles of Business Development Manager, Labor Relations Manager and Senior Project Manager.  He spent several years working in the field as a union sheetmetal worker before transitioning into the office where labor relations has been his primary focus.  Troy is the second of three generations to work in the industry with Jamar.  His father was manager of Jamar’s Commercial Department before his retirement, and Troy’s sons are currently sheetmetal workers at The Jamar Company.  Troy brings with him business development expertise, regulatory policy and union negotiation experience, and was on-site project manager at several nationwide Jamar industrial job locations.  Troy has completed several different training programs through MCAA and Jamar/APi Group including FMI Field Leader Institute and FMI Project Manager Academy.  

Troy has lived and worked in Duluth and Northern Minnesota’s Iron Range his whole life.  In that time, he has forged many strong relationships with industry and congressional leaders, giving him unique insight into every aspect of the specialty construction and the mining industry.
