TAUC 2012 Leadership Conference Round-Up

This year’s TAUC Leadership Conference was held May 15-18 at the beautiful Westin Resort & Spa in Hilton Head, South Carolina. It was a jam-packed week, beginning with the election of a new TAUC President and ending with the Fourth Annual James J. Willis Craftperson of the Year Gala Dinner and Dance. Tom Felton elected President of TAUC

Tom Felton, President of MC Industrial, was elected TAUC’s new President on May 16. He succeeded Bob Santillo, President of McCarl’s, Inc., whose three-year term expired. Click here for full story.

Bob Hoover honored with Spirit of Union Construction Award

On May 17, TAUC honored Bob Hoover with its prestigious Spirit of Union Construction Award, reserved for individuals who have dedicated their entire careers to the advancement of the industry. Click here for full story.

TAUC presents Helmets to Hardhats with $100,000 check

TAUC recently presented Helmets to Hardhats Executive Director Darrell Roberts with a check for $100,000 to further his organization’s efforts in helping returning military veterans transition to rewarding careers in the union construction industry. Click here for full story.

Brad Boeke named TAUC Craftperson of the Year

Brad Boeke has been named the 2012 TAUC James J. Willis Craftperson of the Year. The award, which recognizes outstanding labor-management cooperation and quality craftsmanship in the construction industry, was presented at a special ceremony on May 17. Brad is a Millwright and member of Local #1871 in Ohio. Click here for full story.

Three new members elected to TAUC Board of Directors
