What We’re Made Of
At TAUC, we see ourselves as more than a trade association; we are partners with our members and take pride in helping them navigate the often difficult business and regulatory terrain. Our goals is to not only help our members grow their businesses but to increase union construction’s overall market share.
At the same time, we foster cooperation and mutual understanding between our members and the two other legs of the “tripartite stool” — the building trades and the owner clients.
We also dedicate significant resources to growing the industry to make our contractors even more successful. Our senior executives travel across the country to meet face-to-face with businesses that are considering using union construction and empower them to make data-driven decisions by providing strong supporting productivity, efficiency, and safety statistics.
We are always just a phone call or e-mail away. We pride ourselves on our rapid response. If a member has a question or issue with a contract or collective bargaining agreement, we connect them with one of our labor relations specialists, someone who knows the ins-and-outs of their exact issue. And if a safety question arises, our expert director of safety and health is there to guide the contractor step by step through the OSHA regulatory maze.

Communications
TAUC keeps members informed about the latest news on safety and health, labor, legislation, regulations, and technology through the association’s website, monthly e-newsletters, e-blasts, and quarterly magazine, The Construction User.
Resource Center
TAUC is an active supporter of the Construction Labor Research Council, and provides information from the CLRC to its membership free of charge. TAUC has also funded a number of educational videos which can be accessed via the website as a benefit of membership. TAUC can provide answers to many of the questions union contractors have regarding their businesses.
Social and Networking Opportunities
TAUC hosts membership meetings offering networking and educational opportunities as well as Safety and Health, Labor Relations, Government Affairs and Local Employer Organization Committee meetings across the country. The association’s annual meeting and regional education forums provide an opportunity for members to network and exchange information about related industries.
