The Association of Union Constructors
The Association of Union Constructors evolved from the National Erectors Association, which was founded in 1969 by the leading union steel erectors in the construction industry. Over the years, membership grew to include all types of union contractors, and, consequently, the name and structure of the association was changed to The Association of Union Constructors in 2007. The new association reflects the changing face of the construction industry and more accurately reflects the growing diversity of TAUC members.
Our national headquarters is located in Arlington, Virginia, just across the Potomac River from downtown Washington, D.C.

On Monday, April 8, thousands of people across the US will experience an astronomical phenomenon not seen since 2017.
The total solar eclipse is a rare spectacle everyone awaits and hopes to presence. However, in the excitement, safety measures tend to be forgotten. Failing to take certain precautions could result in irreversible damage to one’s eyesight—a high price to pay for a fleeting glimpse of the eclipse.
With that in mind, TAUC created a Toolbox Talk with guidance on how to safely observe this grand event! Whether you are at home or at the job site, we hope everyone out there is able to safely enjoy of the eclipse.
