DOL adds six new appointees to Apprenticeship Advisory Committee

Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis on July 19 announced that six new appointments and 21 reappointments to the department’s Advisory Committee on Apprenticeship, which is “charged with expanding apprenticeships into all sectors of the economy and building partnerships that increase apprenticeship opportunities for Americans.

Among the new appointees are Chris Haslinger, Director of Training for the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry of the U.S. and Canada, and Kenneth Rigmaiden, Executive General VP of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades.
