The Association of Union Constructors
The Association of Union Constructors evolved from the National Erectors Association, which was founded in 1969 by the leading union steel erectors in the construction industry. Over the years, membership grew to include all types of union contractors, and, consequently, the name and structure of the association was changed to The Association of Union Constructors in 2007. The new association reflects the changing face of the construction industry and more accurately reflects the growing diversity of TAUC members.
Our national headquarters is located in Arlington, Virginia, just across the Potomac River from downtown Washington, D.C.

Popularity of Whole Building Design Guide Website Grows!

Three years after it’s development, the Whole Building Design Guide (www.wbdg.org), has become an extremely popluar web portal. In fact, the Department of Defense (DoD) recently proclaimed this site it’s sole online access point to the official, public domain versions of its facility and design criteria. Their endorsement has helped to substantially increase the number of visitors to this website.
Each section of the website contains a precise overview and summary of the topic and provides helpful links to relevant technical manuals and standards. We at the NEA are constantly on the look out for new products and services that can assist our members be more productive and efficient. The Whole Building Design Guide is one good example of this, so if you have time please visit their website at www.wbdg.org.
