November 1 2012

TAUC’s 2012 State of the Union Construction Industry Forum, scheduled for Wednesday, December 5 at the Washington Court Hotel in Washington, D.C.!

The annual half-day forum (8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.) is one of the union construction industry’s “must-attend” events — an important opportunity to network with owners, contractors and labor leaders and get a jump on the year ahead. This year’s agenda will include a full slate of expert speakers covering a wide variety of topics crucial to the future success of the union construction industry, including multiemployer pension plans, construction business trends, safety compliance and more!

Stuart Rothenberg.

Mr. Rothenberg is Editor and Publisher of The Rothenberg Political Report and columnist for Roll Call. For years, Stuart has embodied the rare ability to report on all the political happenings in the nation with unbiased clarity and non-partisan precision. His publication is a semi-monthly newsletter that provides honest reporting and clear-eyed analysis of American elections and their potential ramifications. Stuart captivates audiences with insightful, often humorous discussions about election results, the issues facing decision makers on Capitol Hill, and the nature of politics itself.

“I don’t think anybody reads Stuart Rothenberg’s stuff any closer than I do,” says noted political analyst Charlie Cook. “When I find myself in agreement with him, I’m a lot more comfortable with my position. He’s a blend of academic credentials and living in the real world of politics.”

Don’t miss your opportunity to hear Stuart analyze the post-election landscape and ask your own questions about 2013 and beyond.

Other scheduled speakers include:

Brent Booker, Secretary-Treasurer, Building & Construction Trades Department, AFL-CIO

Randy DeFrehn, Executive DIrector, National Coordinating Committee for Multiemployer Plans

John “Rocky” Miller, Cox Castle Nicholson LLP

Chuck Sekinger, Stone & Webster

You are also invited to attend the Annual Joint TAUC-NMAPC Holiday Open House, which takes place the night before the forum — Tuesday, December 4, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., also at the Washington Court Hotel. Don’t miss another great networking opportunity and the chance to kick off the holiday season in high style — not to mention lots of gourmet food!

Registration for both events is FREE, but the deadline to sign up is Thursday, November 15, so REGISTER NOW!
