Jake Tornquist

Jacob (Jake) Tornquist is Specialty Contracting Reporting Unit Leader for APi Group President of The Jamar Company as well as Specialty Contracting Reporting Unit Leader for Jamar’s parent company, APi Group. Jamar is a solution-focused specialty-services provider with a regional presence and national reach. Jamar has delivered industry leading value, dependability, and field leadership for more than 100 years.

Jake joined the company in 2007 as an engineering intern in the light commercial HVAC/plumbing department. He continued working full-time at Jamar while completing his mechanical engineering degree at the University of Minnesota Duluth. In 2011, he moved into the industrial department as a field engineer and later advanced to senior project manager. He was promoted to regional manager in 2016, named vice president in 2021, and became president of Jamar in 2022. In 2025, Jake assumed an additional role with our parent company, APi Group, serving as the Specialty Contracting Reporting Unit Leader.

Jake is a purposeful, passionate leader focused on strategic growth through strengthening Jamar’s core competencies and expanding its service offerings. He credits the legacy of past company leaders and a strong emphasis on relationship-building—with both team members and customers—for Jamar’s outstanding reputation, community-oriented culture, and continued success.

Jake lives in Hermantown, MN with his wife and four children. He’s active in his church and community, coaches his kids’ hockey teams, and serves on several local boards. He also enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling.
